Molly and Mairin Children’s Bronze Portrait

This is a life-size bronze portrait of two present day girls – Molly and Mairin – but Lena Toritch sculpted them dressed them in 20th century clothing. The monument is part of the stunning décor of a spectacular home that is over a hundred years old. The historic Walker Mansion has long been one of the architectural jewels of Salt Lake City.

The Phillip McCarthey family purchased and restored the mansion with great care. They wanted artwork that fit the original style and craftsmanship of the architectural treasure. But they also wanted a portrait of their two young girls. So Toritch created this unique children’s portrait for the lobby of the Walker Mansion.
