Veterans Memorial Dedication

The City of Smithfield Utah will dedicate a Veterans Memorial created by Richard Young of Young Fine Art Studio. The centerpiece of the Memorial is a bronze monument of the iconic Battlefield Cross which symbolizes the sacrifice of our American Soldiers.    

The Smithfield Veterans Memorial was the vision of Jonathan Cheatham, a young student who raised money for the monument as part of his Eagle Scout project. Cheatham commissioned Young to create the bronze statue.
